Air in the clutch system will not cause the clutch to slip. The pressure plate is spring operated and if the master and slave cylinders are not relieving hydraulic pressure, then the pressure plate may not be fully clamping on the disk. Did you, or the person replacing the clutch, forget to remove the pressure plate spacer ring?
Tell us what you find out.
