Re: Weaker Start when Engine Warm - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
It cranks over slower but takes less time to turn over/start, the tachometer goes up noticeably less when up to operating temp vs. when cold---it sounds weaker when starting after the engine's been warmed up. It doesn't seem normal for a car to start noticeably differently when up to operating temperature. Again, I might be OCD on this but I wonder if it's a sign of a malfunction somewhere, something that could fail down the road--either related to the fuel system---maybe a rich running condition or coolant temp sensor, ignition/starter issue? IDK. Granted the car isn't overheating or acting abnormally otherwise.
