1992 vert rear tail light sealing Posted by Landjet [Email] (#16) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Landjet) on Wed, 5 Sep 2018 14:55:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Discovering that the rear spoiler drains we somewhat plugged, I got those cleaned out and found the rear spoiler on a 1992 dumps water at the sides, down the trunk lid channel to the back.
Then, the water drains on top of the rear tail lights, then finds it's way into the trunk. This 92 has been garaged it's whole life, but we've had some rain lately, found some stray water in the trunk. Coming from the tail light seals.
OK so anyone out there find a good material for sealing up the light assembly to the body? I used some rope chalk on the winter beater, it dries so hard that it will be a mess to work with in the future. I suppose the rubber seals have long since been NLA, might be part of the assembly anyway == I haven't ever taken these out before.
