I forget all the details with this switch, but I thought I'd add a couple fuzzy memories. I think the ball bearing and the spring popped out when I pulled mine apart. I think that if you keep the white part down, lifting the black cover off of it, you may have an easier time of it than I did. You may be able to snap a photo of the whole assembly then before cleaning and lubing everythign. I think the black part is mostly a cover, with the track, bearing and spring all in the white half. Again, fuzzy memory on this! I had to figure out the logic of how that bearing worked on the track, and I think I had to figure how many times to coil that spring back in. Or was that my kids wind-up toy? Anyhow, I wouldn't hesitate to open one again, reserving plenty of time to finish the job in one sitting, whatever it takes. I had it apart for an hour or more.
