i've taken off both front and back fenders - the front is about 60 spot welds and the sail panel at the back is 90.
I dont recommend it!!! i went through countless little hole saw bits and i've never used the panels that i did take off.
they were from a pre facelift 900.
they are stored under my deck but i'm not sure what condition they are in . we did paint them with an epoxy primer to inhibit rust.
you are probably better off doing what TRacer said and cut back from what you need and then match them up, since you have a good donor car. the trick will be to rust-inhibit them really well in the fender area so they last...
