The upper radiator and the little right angle bypass hoses take a beating. I've also seen original heater control valve nipples get brittle and crack or fall off. Lost a good running engine that way. Uro brand hoses have had negative comments in the past.
There is a relatively simple modification that allows both radiator fans to operate simultaneously wherever they are needed. The Saab technical document describing that is on the Townsend Imports Saab site. It's Called 'High Temperature Gauge Reading'
