Rear wheel fluid leak Posted by markatl [Email] (#1833) [Profile/Gallery] (more from markatl) on Wed, 7 Jun 2023 09:34:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Been a while since I have posted. I barely drive may car, so not much is ever needed but recently I have had hard braking and I found the rear driver side wheal leaking brake fluid-only while driving and after when there is still pressure. I have tried to find previous posts but did not find much. I can't tell exactly where the leak is coming from. I know the hard lines that go along the axle can rust over time and need to be replaced but that is not my issue since it is a southern car-I am in Atlanta. Could it be the caliper itself? I was planning to just start with the flex line going from the hard line to the caliper. It looks like the bolt that connects the flex line to the hard line(with the holder or brace) is tack welded. How to break that? Any tips or suggestions on completing this job would be great. How to keep fluid from draining all over the place when I disconnect it? etc. Thanks Mark
