In addition to the suggestions made by the other folks, check the turbo bypass valve and the charcoal cannister.
For the TBV, which is located under the radiator hose at the front of the engine, disconnect the hose at the intake manifold and suck. If it holds vacuum, it's probably OK. It's possible that this hose got disconnected while working on the rotor.
For the charcoal cannister, it depends on year and the style of cannister used. The old style (pre '86 or so) the hose will continuously let air through, just be sure it is connected. For the newer style, a vacuum valve on top of the cannister can come undone and let air leak in through the small hose attached to it. Gently blow on the small vacuum hose leading from the intake manifold. It shouldn't pass air. The newest style uses an electric valve. If the valve malfunctions, it could let fuel vapors and air in at in appropriate times. According to the manual, resistance between the terminals on the valve should be 40-60 ohms and the valve should actuate with a click when 12v is applied to it. With the engine running, the valve should buzz. On all styles, make sure that the vent line from the fuel tank is connected and not leaking.
