I hear you.... I have a 93 900t Commemorative Edition and so far (knock
on wood) no major problems. This is of course after I had both the tranny,
head gasket and turbo replaced (all under the 6yr/80000mile warranty). I
bought the car third hand and the previous owners didn't really do anything
major to keep the car up. So I really haven't put any money into the car
other than battery, tires etc.
I have customized it (all optional stuff) and prefer this type of car over
the newer models. Again, this is just my point-of-view. People always compliment you on the car. It has a different style all its own.
If you don't want to soak money into a Saab, then a newer model makes a good bet (new warranty) at least for 3 years etc. What I'd do is see how
much the new car will cost and compare that to the money you could put into
maintenance of the OG900.
Best of luck
BobJ
