This is a known carbon remover, you can use water or some of the other things seen here. I use Mazda upper engine cleaner. You can suck it in as described (I use pliers to hold amount taken in down). Also recommended to modulate engine around 2-4K as you do it and when it's in, stop the engine and let it sit over night.
You can see the carbon come out the exhaust, unknown to harm a turbo or cat, FWIW!
