If you have a simple test light, you can easily find a switchable power source from the old harness. You can also use the ground from the harness as well :o)
Depending on the size of your amp, consider mounting the amp under the back seats. There are 2 locations under the rear seat where small amps fit. It just saves a few feet of power cable as well as the RCA cable's don't need to be as long, but done properly, the rear tire compartment looks better :o)
Do not run a ground cable from the battery to the amp. That WILL result in engine wine & simply isn't needed. The ground cable should be as short as possible (1-2ft) & also of thick guage cable (I use 4 guage per amp). The power cable can simply be run down the passenger side & there is a hole which can be seen from the engine compartment. It's by the pass. door & is almost above the main ECU of the car. Remove the carpet around the ECU & follow the wires to the hole :o)
Just be sure to keep the RCA cables on the other side of the car (or down the middle) & you can run the DIC cable for the changer with the RCA cables.
