I've had bad experience with Castrol LMA DOT4 in Girling aftermarket master cylinders...the fluid apparently reacts with the polymers in the seals. The brake fluid turns black in about 10 days after flushing...brake fluid in a new master cylinder does the same.
I suggest you use ATE DOT4 brake fluid, color is immaterial, blue is easy to see flush complete. BTW, changing brake fluid at this time won't solve the failing master cylinder....
Change out the master cylinder and bench bleed it on the car...before you hook up the brake lines, fill the reservoir with new fluid, cover the ports with your fingers and operate the brake pedal (not full throw...you don't want to overextend the seal/pistons) until fluid squirts out around your fingers. Then hook up the brake lines and completely flush/bleed the system.
