Ok, here we go. I will start from the beginning which is about 3 months ago. My 92 9k has always turned over slowly, but then again so did all the Saabs I have ever owned. One day it deceided to stop turning over and do nothing. No clicking, no noise what so ever. After replacing the + battery cable, starter selonoid, and cleaning everything I could get my hands on, the problem went away and the car turned over at an amazing speed. Sounded like a GM (gasp). Slowly over the past few months the car has started to turn over more slowly but it has always turned over. Last Saturday when my car was at the shop having its AC charged since I got a pretty new compressor, I was told that my starter had died. We went there and my mechanic tested everything and said that the seloniod was getting power, it was clicking, but the starter motor was not turning. They somehow tested the starter motor and came to the conclusion that it was bad. Ok, new starter about 3 days later was installed. In the mean time I would walk over there periodically and try to start it but the same thing would happen, just a click. Now with the new starter in, the car worked great for about 10 mins and then the starter now does the same thing....CLICK rrrggg. The battery is less than a year old interstate battery that was the one you people said to get, I don't remember which one. Now my car is in my driveway with a shiney new starter that clicks. Sometimes it will start, I might have to try 10...20 times then it will turn over. Any ideas.
Here is what has been tried/replaced if you forget since I tend to ramble.
New starter
New + battery cables
Less than a year old battery
They tell me that the voltage to the selonoid is correct
" " that when hosed down to cool it off, it still clicks
" " the Ford fix won't help since it is getting enough power
Since you people seem to be able to fix anything PLEASE Help, I have spent over a 1k replacing AC crap and misc and can't even use my car since it just sits in the driveway :(
Thanks,
Jeffla
