Anders says stick with stock

I have been experimenting with combinations of scan tech oem style and solid rubber. I now have solid rubber on the car mount and scan tech oem style on the dogbone. It is a heavy, but acceptable, vibration on my 5spd non-turbo, and a miserable experience on my a/t turbo.
In response to a thread awhile back, Anders mentioned that he sticks with stock because even the aftermarket oem style bushings are too stiff. Also, it is critical that the oem or oem style bushings be oriented correctly or the vibration reducing quality of the cut-outs is eliminated. I learned that the hard way. At one point I got a non-scan tech oem style aftermarket busing from Sobstory, but that was way too soft. I think stock is the way to go.
At first, I thought the increased driving sensation would offset the increased vibration, but it has grown tiresome. My wife asked me what was wrong with the car the last time she was in it (let's see if she'll be invited back), and the copper sunroof pipes have started to rattle.
Anyway, going back to stock is on my to-do list. Maybe I will try drilling holes in the solid rubber first.
