Josh is dead on. One other thing to check is that CC 9000s have crappy lighting fusebox plastic which falls apart, and allows the wire leads to flop around. Eventually they work themselves off the relay. I've had this happen on both '88 9000s I've owned. Open the lighting relay panel under the hood and remove the two screws holding the "deck" into the "box". Lift up GENTLY and SLOWLY and inspect for damage & loose wires.
