9-5 brakes better than 9000?

I've been planning my future mods and the 5 lug conversion with 17" 9-5 aero wheels is on the list. But while I'm thinking about it, would a 9-5 brake swap 1) be possible? 2) be an improvement worth the cost?
I don't know the size of the 9-5 brakes but it seems like they should be larger than my 9000's. I've heard of people putting 9000 brakes on c900's so why not from the 9-5 to the 9000?
TIA
Matt
