Its been a while since I put in the SAS bars, but if I remember right:
1. Remove the bolts for the steering rack, but leave it in place, you just need a little wiggle room there.
2. Remove the two lower strut mounting bolts, at least on the pass side.
3. Remove the tie rod off the same side, loosen it, leaving the nut on, then whack it to remove, if you need help getting it started, you can either push down, or use a big "C" clamp to hold it.
4. It was a lot easier to do with the exhaust dropped at the cat.
