I don't have the manual, cause I can't read....just kidding.
Now when the manuals says that the "creeking noises" are related to the outter C/V joint, I wonder if they really mean "clicking" cause that's what those little suckers do, you can't miss that sound from a mile away.
Now, I don't really get the creeking sound when in a circle (unless I haven't paid attention to it) but I do get it when I drive straight and slow over say speed bumps but I think that's relating to the upper strut mount, and I understand that.
C/V joints make noise(clicking)when you are in a turning circle, inner drivers when under load (thumping/shacking in the front end).
I just replaced the inner driver and tripod bearing last week so I know that's not my problem, it's someplace else. Maybe I'll replace more stuff next week? The inner driver itself isn't to hard to replace at all. It's a good 2.5 hr job and all you need is some VERY BIG SNAP RING PLIERS, to release the snap ring from the back. Once you get that out, the inner driver will seperate from the shaft(use pry/crow bar)then you can just pull out the whole axle with both boots still intact. Tap the whole thing back in using a rubber malet once it's been seated correctly.
So now I have NEW: inner driver, tripod bearing, wheel bearing, ball joints, tie rod ends and the problems stil there.
Let me know what you find please.
See Ya,
Phil
