If you do figure you are bottoming out with the HDs, then you might want to try and see if a set of Bilstein Sport shocks will fit.
The Sports are meant for lowered cars, while the HDs are meant for regular ride height (in theory). I dont think the Sports are usually added to Saabs (I know this from my BMW circle). It may be possible to lower a car too much with the HDs causing them to bottom-out. I'm hesitant to say that this is the case, but it might be worth checking out. Personally, I dont even know if there is a Sport shock that can be put on a 9000.
Once again, both the Sports and HDs have identical valving. The sports were just made for lesser travel due to lowered ride height.
