Hi Joe,
Mine is a 94 CS FPT, 256,000 kms. I put the switch in about 4-5 months ago and believe it or not I'm on the original tranny. I triple flush the fluid every year, which is about 20,000 kms or so. I don't think I drive hard, but my perspective might be off a bit. No full throttle upshifts and I don't tend to race but is nice to let the car run on highways etc. I tend to squeeze the throttle down as opposed to flooring it.
No adverse effects so far, my governor seals and springs will have to be done soon, the 3-4 shift is a bit rough sometimes but this was happening before the mod. Usually I leave it in 3 around town and manually shift to 4 if I'm going above 70 kph or so.
I'm the second owner and have the records and am suprised that the tranny continues to run well considering the miles. I belive fluid changed are the key and driving sensibly. I'm fussy about my car as was the original ownwer.
Derek
