I managed to get the 137000km one working, so no longer a need to roll back. I was actually taking it apart with the intention of trying to roll it back. I figured it was junk to me, so I'd practice on it. When I got the meter movement out, I noticed two of the four magnet wires were broken off of their pins. I soldered them back on, re-assembled the speedo, and presto. It now works like a charm. If you ever have to take the needle off the speedometer and need to figure out how to align it again, there's a little trick to finding a reference point using the speed alarm on the SCC. I'm sure it's obvious from that how it works.
