I usually keep a can handy for emergency diagnosis situations, makes a quick way to start isolating the problem between fuel and ignition.
If I have it handy, I use a can of propane that I have a long rubber hose attached to, which I can feed into the intake from inside the car; it's not as harsh on the rubber bits and sensors as carb cleaner. If it's set right, it can even maintain idle speed.
The relay contacts should be a good addition to the list of things-to-check. A clean set of contacts is definitely a good thing- :)
