1.) My hoses are clamped, but if you think its snug enough to withstand pressure, you should be OK. Clamping them just requires a cheap hose clamp that probably can be found at any Autozone or Napa.
2.) My BPC hoses don't appear to be the same length. It really shouldn't matter.
3.) Its not at all necessary to connect a boost gauge. I drove mine for a year with no gauge, until I finally installed a stock one just for giggles.
As for the cost of the procedure, mine came to a grand total of $26, so definitely shop around a bit. Be cautious of buying a used BPC. Although I did and its been fine for about 2 years now.
