your best bet for the ECU is car-parts.com
After having a hose pop off a couple of times over the years on various Saabs, I clamp with zip-ties. This is all you need to maintain a little more tension.
The old post you found doesn't meantion that the battery should be disconnected for a while before disconnecting/connection any ECU.
Base boost should be set to factory spec whether you're doing the conversion or not. Over time, it usually ends up lower than spec.
It will take some time for the FPT ECU to give full boost unless you do an adaptation run.
It isn't a bad idea to check the check valve every 6 months. A FPT can apply alot more pressure to seals than a LPT.
It works great.
Just converted a 96 CS last month.
