NOTE: The reason why I asked about his particular sensor is because I already have one.
The Bosch does have a connector, though it's not a simple disconnect one. There's no existing connector end- you've got to splice it on; it's some funky twist barrel plastic thing (three pieces, one per wire), which is then contained within a plastic housing. I think that once done that a subsequent replacement would be fairly easy.
Regardless of whether it's Bosch's or Ford's connector I've still got to splice. I'm more concerned about whether there's enough room to operate (insert a splice box such as this) between the first gromit tie-down and the sensor. I'm specifically sensitive because it's the middle of December and I don't have a [heated] garage to work in :-(
I'm also concerned about any affects on the sensor of increasing the length of the wire. Someone mentioned that they routed their new wiring out and along the fenderwell; I guess this would imply that there's no concern about wire length.
