...these are all standard wear items (in any car) which will contribute to the symptoms you describe.
Have it checked out by a local mechanic. If it's really loosey-goosey you may have a serious need for tie rod ends and/or ball joints. You don't want to put these off as they are major safety concerns if they're bad enough.
It would be ill-advised to take it upon yourself to alter the specs of the power steering pump. Don't do it, don't consider it.
