Who else out there has had problems with O2 sensor fault codes after installing a 3" downpipe? I am trying to determine if there's any pattern to this, how widespread the problem is, and hopefully find a solution. I installed a 3" downpipe last fall, and got a check engine light. Since then I've tried three different sensors, re-installed the stock downpipe, and replaced the 3" downpipe. The bottom line is the 3" downpipe is the cause of the fault code; I get no fault code when the stock downpipe is installed. Some research on the function and design of When the 3" downpipe is installed, I get code 0130 no matter which sensor I have installed.
Anyway, please reply with:
-Specific model and year of your 9000
-what kind of downpipe you installed (i.e. who made it, what it's made of, is it thermal coated)
-description of problem, if any
-how the problem was resolved
Thanks.
