I have searched the forum and read many topics comparing the two to eachother. I am (wanting to be) in the market for a "new" car. Specifically either a 9000 aero or a 2001 or 2002 9-5 aero and a manual transmission is a must.
As far as reliability engine wise, are the engines about the same? i currently have a 91 9000t and my father, two 94 aero's, and love all of them. I have my 91 (170,000 miles) modded and it pushes 20lbs all day (and i beat the crap out of it, a lot.) are the 2001-2002 9-5 aero engines capable of that? we also have his 94 aero w/ 280,000 miles on it and still pull a 12ft x 8ft x 8 ft (v nose) enclosed trailer with it, no problems of course.
what years are a recommended avoid with TCS. I know the 94 aeros didnt have tcs, did the tcs get "ok" (compared to the tcs in 92/93) in the 95+ 9000 aeros?
my mom has a 2001 9-5 turbo, auto. Its not a bad car, but like others have said in comapring the cars, the 9-5 steering doesnt fight back, you get no feedback from the steering wheel it seems, is that same w/ the aero?
I would love a new car, still contemplating how much i want to spend and what i want to spend it on. comments, experiences, etc much appreciated and welcome.
the cars ive owned (6years of driving) two 88 9000T and my current 91 9000t
TIA
