About 2 years ago I did the LPT>FPT conversion on my '96 CS automatic. Seemed to make a difference but nothing to write home about.
Out of curiosity, I recently disconnected the BCV and hoses and put back the LPT hose configuration to see if there would be a difference. Nothing. Car seemed to run the same.
Could the Boost Control Valve had gone south even though it still buzzes along when connected?
Am I jeopardizing the engine/ECU in any way by running it as an LPT with the upgraded ECU installed? BTW, part # for the ECU is 43 00 836.
Should I forget about using SAAB's boost control valve & go with a manual boost controller from Demon Tuning or the like? This is the second BCV I've gone through if it's at fault.
And with a '96 automatic, SHOULD I be seeing much of an improvement with a working conversion?
As always, thanks for any help & info.
Dave
