Successful early radiator transplant into 1997 9k CSE Posted by Porschephile951 [Email] (#2169) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Porschephile951) on Tue, 29 May 2007 23:45:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just wanted to let it be known that I successfully installed a 1988 9000T radiator into a 1997 9000 CSE FPT today.
All I needed to do was block the temp sensor (the last one was given away), which I chose to use a plastic plug and some plastic epoxy. Masked the core and painted it black and it looks awesome.
Oil cooler bolts SUCK if you're too lazy to pull the lower intercooler hose, but they will on all turbos despite the year.
Temperature is about where it was with the other radiator, which appeared to have a superior core based on a variety of factors.
