rack and adjust tie rods on both sides with the steering wheel dead center.
Your car can track straight and aligned but the steering wheel is still off to one side or the other when going down a level straight road.
What the shop has to do is first center the rack, if your steering wheel hasn't been taken off since new, don't take the steering wheel off to do the offset. The shop has to adjust the tie rods on BOTH sides and make sure the rack is perfectly centered when aligned.
Some shop will lock the rack at center the best they can get it then align toe in by adjusting the tie rods. You have a 9000 so only toe-ins are adjustable, unless you use shims or use camber kit to adjust cambers.
Even after doing their best, the technician may have to hand adjust the tie-rods again to center the steering. It's not always perfect.
