BPC Valve Surgery and pics

So I had two broken BPC valves - one that had a broken disc (common of late-model genuine saab valves - the kind you buy at the dealer for $250 - I went through three of these in a year), and another one that I bought off of eBay with burned-out coils, hoping that the disc inside would still be intact.
The disc was good, so I opened up both valves, and transplanted the good disc from the old valve into the "new" valve with the broken disc.
And Voila! it works. I believe that the reason for the new ones failing so rapidly is because Saab no longer makes them / subcontracts the manufacturing of these out-of-date parts to another company. The alloy of the carbon-steel floating disc is crucial, as it is a very high-stress part that flutters in between two powerful magnetic coils - and the new company that makes the "genuine saab" valves can't get that alloy right, because the discs keep cracking after 3000 miles (how long each of mine lasted).
I also made a new mounting bracket for the valve, to mount it horizontally (like in the 900's and 9-3's, which experience much fewer of these failures) Hopefully with all of this, I will never have to replace a BPC valve again.
So if you ever wanted to know what's inside that outrageously overpriced valve, here it is:
