Ari,
I replaced the entire speedometer cluster with another used one today including gas & temp guages included as well as a different EDU-3, and now I'm seeing the temp and gas guages still not working.
I've replaced the EDU-3 M, multiple times on this 1997 9000 CS, replaced the gas & temp guage now, and cleaned all contacts, yet they still do not work.
The gas and temp guage only "partially" once in a while worked, when the old EDU-3 M was in the car.
So what could be causing the temp & gas guages from not working now?
- Could a failing fuel sender cause both temp and gas guage to not work?
- Do I need the tech-2 to reset the system or clear codes so that the temp & gas guages work?
- What else could be causing this problem at this point? All fuses are good, relays are good..Hmm..
Would I need the latest firmware updated to an EDU-3 M like the originally flaky one that made the gas & temp guages work every so often, especially after hitting the top of the dashboard?
