y'all were right, THANKS, I always think there's some magic relay or something that needs fixing on this car, it was nothing serious. the booster pack did indeed run down after turning the engine over those times, and i hadn't charged it back up enough to work with the battery...
the battery was charged to 12 volts, on the trickle-charger for 20 hours, but it wasn't nearly charged, still (neighbor's 40 year old 4 amp charger).
took it to the auto parts store around the corner and they threw it on the charger for 1.5 hours and re-tested, fine, and i threw it in the car, and it cranked, and sputtered, and sprang to life.
now, i have a new problem.
after driving around in the prius for a month the brakes seem bad.
They stop the car, but don't grab at all.
I drove around the block, and did some hard stops, still not what i'd want to rely on. pedal is firm, just feels like there's no friction. i'm assuming maybe i just got some rust to deal with?
