My Aero vs. my CDE

I've got a '94 Aero and a '93 CDE. I have to say that the CDE is more fun to drive because it's hands-down quicker. I think I must not be getting full-boost from the Aero. When the turbo spools up, the car take off, but off the line it lags where the CDE leaps. I've been thinking the difference between base boost and max boost is at the top end rather than at the low revs.
I was planning to get rid of the CDE, but my enthusiasm for the Aero is not the same as other people's. I've got ABS and SRS lights to diagnose, and then I'll hook up a boost gauge and find out what I'm really getting. Why the heck didn't they put numbers on the boost gauge? How lame for a car that cost $38k in '94.
BTW - the CDE is an auto and the Aero is a 5-sp.
