5W30 is recommended for many of the newer cars and it will not be a problem at all. The "5" is the thickness of the oil at startup and it gets up to a "30" thickness when warm. So, you may get a little smoking at startup because the thinner oil might leak past your valve seals. Not a big deal. I would suggest that next oil change, you use the "high-mileage" oil. That helps seal some the the rubber seals in the engine that have leaks due to age.
