Even given the extensive list of modifications, I'd be wary of spending six grand on a fifteen-year-old 9000 with approaching 200k miles.
Transmissions are a weak area in 9000s, whether auto or manual, at least potentially. In particular the speedo issue in the second car worries me, transmission-wise, due to the expense (rebuild) of the repair if it's the speedo drive gear issue that crops up with some regularity.
You can also do very well with a garden-variety CSE, and despite its potential for trouble, I do like the autos in these cars. I figure your chances of transmission issues are probably about the same in autos and manuals in these years.
Your main goal is perhaps to insure you avoid the 93 model year due to timing chain issues, one-year-only engine controls, block and head differences, and the TCS-only spec for turbos; also avoid TCS if you can in other years; and finally make sure the shock tower rust issue does not afflict any car you're considering. Past that it's the usual menu of things to check on any used car.
Good luck! You'll love the 9000.
