That makes perfect sense and explanes why at only moderate rpm and speed the compressor stall/engine stall would occur. Closing the throttle plate at those ranges would generate insufficient immediate vacuum to overcome the manifold-spring pressure which would yield the compressor stall. Your're brilliant! Thanks for the insight. This is a perfect example of what this site is all about.
