I was heading for Alaska on the Alcan Highway when the fuel fuel pump on my 95 CS died. I was towed into Whitehorse in the Yukon where it was diagnosed at a little garage out in the woods. When the gentleman told me it would be a minimum of 2-3 weeks to get the part from the states, I said I was going to a job in Alaska and had only a few days. He went into the Whitehorse branch of Canadian Tire and started opening boxes. I think he istalled Ford Ranger fuel pump but I'm not sure. In any case, the job cost me less than $100 Canadian. The pump is still in there and doing fine.
The tow? That cost me over $500.
