I can already tell this is going to be one of those frustrating problems. It's not the central locking module. I took that out and tried it in another car and it works fine. I re-installed it, and heard some weird clicking from the glover compartment area where the alarm ecu is, and also some buzzing from the central locking module. I re-tried the remote, this time from inside the car. Still the same result, and I could hear the alarm ecu clicking when the lights are flashing. I checked the fuse for the central locking module, and it was blown, and here's where it gets weird. I replaced the fuse, and now the central locking sort of works (left rear door doesn't lock or unluck), but now the remote and alarm do not work at all! I can no longer open the hatch with the remote, and the lights do not flash to indicate arming and disarming of the alarm when I press that button. So it almost seems like re-installing the fuse has destroyed the alarm ecu. Any ideas?
