Bolted my SAS sway bars on this weekend... Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Wed, 2 Jun 2010 16:44:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I should have done it much sooner. (You know how things that don't need to be done don't get taken care of when life gets busy?)
Anyway, the SAS sway bars make the car handle so nicely. I love it all over again. I found the install to be a bit easier than expected, especially the part where you put the stiffening plates under the floor of the trunk. A second set of hands (my wife's) and that bit of the job was done in minutes. Up front, I didn't have to touch the tie rods (even though the instructions provided instructed me to).
The only trouble I had was this: the space between the ends of the rear sway bar was slightly wider than the space between the flanges it goes between on the rear beam. I got it in there, but I feel that it wasn't totally within tolerance.
Oh well, it worked out, and the car is a pleasure.
