On my since departed '95 CS I had used the normal jacking points with my floor jack with no issues, but after a non-Saabindy put the think on his lift to do the gas tank straps I noticed that the floor had deflected in and the jack points were damaged. Maybe he didn't put the pads on his lift out far enough.
This was partly a rust issue (New England winters!) so it likely would have happened anyway, but I've also noticed some deflection on one of my '96 cars. It's easy to accidentally put the jack pad just a little too far in so it's hitting the floor instead of the jacking point. I'm now using the point on the subframe where the control arms bolt in, or under rear bush on the control arms. The jack stand then goes where the jack isn't.
I use my Rhino ramps whenever I can, but for some things you do need to take the wheels off.
