Bilstein HDs and B&G spring kit is in! Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Mon, 5 Dec 2011 19:08:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The car totally feels like new, I am not exaggerating when I say that. I had all of the relevant bushings changed as well as the ball joints. All of my sway bar bushings, and the rear control arm bushings were changed to poly a couple of years ago when the SAS sways went on. The car used to feel really loose and crappy over bumps, and was very "floaty" on the highway. Now it feels tight and controlled. The HDs are definitely bouncy for some, but I really like it that way, feels more like my 9-3 Aero. If I wanted a floaty Buick, I would have bought one!
Also, the springs lowered the car 1.6 inches. Its not "ricey" low, but the stance definitely looks a bit more aggressive and balanced and the wheels fill up the arches much better!
All in all, I am glad I made the investment in my car and really pleased with this setup. I really would not have been able to keep this car on the road much longer with the old struts, and I could never get rid of my 9k! I also had the governor seals replaced, which cured my shifting problem, so I should be good to go for another 200k miles :)
