Do you still have a working remote?

On one of my cars, the key will turn in one direction but not the other, unless I pull it back out of the driver door lock slightly. OR unless I pull it all the way out and flip it over, when it works fine.

I was kind of hoping WD-40 would cure it, haven't tried yet. And I'm on the verge of ordering a brand new key from Saab, as it came with only one key.

If that fixes it I'll post here.

Also a possibility is worn cylinder. I have two door handles out of a car, and mean to look soon to see if the cylinder can come out of psgr side and go into driver side. If so and if key doesn't fix it, maybe that's the best cure.

If physical link is there it should work for both lock and unlock, and the wire should send both signals as well to the power locking cylinder. But Larry has a good point, lots of mechanical connections, and the lube tends to harden up and the metal parts corrode. Not easy to get at or get out.
