Got to drive it tonight and it drives pretty well. Took it on the freeway and a short stint on a twisty, bumpy road. Ride is good. Shifts seem smooth, but I didn't flog it either. Only issue(s): dented right front fender and the temp went to just below the red while we were out. It came down fairly quickly after about 3 minutes as we drove back. I couldn't open the overflow reservoir to see if it was just low, but I suspect that is what the issues is. I would certainly check the cooling system more thoroughly especially since he mentioned replacing the heater core.
Other than that the interior is in pretty good shape, front seats show wear but no major cracks. Since I was looking at at night and had limited time (owner had to get somewhere) I wasn't able to do a more thorough check of the back seats, but they look good.
I'm going to try getting it for $1800 and hopefully this one won't get away. If I do guess I'll have to change my username??
