Seat Recline Fix (Using PEX faucet tubing)

To fix my seat recline problem (the plastic tubes had broke) I did the following (total cost: $3)
Cut the anchor part of the tube from the rest.
Bought 3/8" PEX faucet tubing from Lowes about $1.50 each
Drilled out anchor piece (got up to "S" bit)
Slightly turned down end of PEX Tube (Just enough to get tube to insert into anchor)
Measured and put groove in opposite end of PEX tube
Cut off extra length.
Just installed this morning and seat is back to its former glory.
The PEX tube is the right OD so it fits right into the receptacles in the seat back and the ID is very very close to the ID on the original part.
