...and by "over time" Bill means in about 5 minutes.
I have to think that some of these things have been replaced in the last 11 years (ball joints especially) unless the car's hardly been driven. If you don't hear any clunking noises and everything feels tight at the front, I wouldn't worry too much about pre-emptive work. It's usually pretty obvious when the suspension needs attention (although maybe not judging by the noises I hear when I ride in some of my co-workers' cars).
