Just to check - are you sure the water under the car is coolant, not condensate from the air conditioning? This drips out from below the false firewall and can look like coolant but obviously doesn't contain antifreeze/anit-corrosion additives. In the past I've tested by tasting it (an observation only, do this at your own risk) or you could mop it up with kitchen towel and look at the colour
A workshop can trace leaks by putting a tracer in the coolant which will show up under a UV light
Even if the water pump isn't the culprit you might be due one anyway if there is other work to be done
My carpet got wet when the heater core started to leak nine months ago and I put in Bars Leaks, with success (for the moment). Opinions on this remedy will vary, if you have not yet found the site's Search facility now is the time
If you let your engine overheat you will probably end up doing a head gasket down the line, but that is on the cards anyway and it could be the cause of your leak
