From my actual measurements with a caliper, the pipe is 2.25" inner diameter and 2.375" outer diameter (the steel is about 1/16" thick) - this is called 2-1/4" pipe, which is bit of an oddball size. My local Advanced Auto store had exhaust flanges in only a limited number of sizes, and for my car the only two that were under consideration were approximately 2.25" ID and 2.5" ID - I chose 2.5", which worked fine, but was just a bit loose on the pipe. From an online search, there is also: WALKER Part # 36133 - Fits 2 7/16" OD Pipe FLANGE REPAIR KIT, which might be a better fit, but I didn't feel like ordering and waiting for it, especially after I got the 2-1/2" to work.
Note that other configurations of split flanges are available, , i.e. with three holes, and different (cheaper) looking two-hole configurations, but I used what was in stock and available when I needed it.
