Never had to use thread locker on those fasteners. I've also re-used the ny-lock style nuts many times and never had one come off. Something weird is definitely going on there. I can't see the alignment hypothesis being correct. If you can get the bolts on and tightened, it can't be that far off. By "overpowering", are you suggesting it's actually breaking the bolts? Because being under more strain isn't going to make them come loose. It would be a pretty severe amount of excess strain to be breaking the bolts.
